★★★★★

"I had an aggregate of 16 in General Science. My school mates said I had zero chance for Engineering. UniMatcher proved that UMaT Tarkwa and KNUST Materials Engineering had cutoffs of 18 that year. I applied and got admitted to UMaT!"

"UniMatcher saved me from losing GHC 220 on a Legon form. It pointed out that my D7 in Core Maths disqualified me for BSc Administration at Legon, but I qualified for UPSA Banking & Finance. I was admitted smoothly!"

✦ Important Knowledge

Understanding WASSCE Cut-Offs in Ghana

Key facts every student and parent should know before submitting admission forms.

Minimum Entry Requirements are the baseline grades set by GTEC (Ghana Tertiary Education Commission)—typically credits (A1–C6) in 3 core subjects and 3 electives (Aggregate 36 or better for degrees).

Cut-Off Points are determined each year by individual universities based on competition and the number of applicants. For example, while Aggregate 36 is the legal minimum, Medicine at KNUST may cut off at Aggregate 07 due to intense applicant competition.
For regular 4-year Bachelor degree programs at public universities (UG, KNUST, UCC, etc.), credits (A1 to C6) in English, Core Maths, and Science/Social are mandatory. A D7 or E8 in Core Maths or English usually prevents regular degree admission. However, candidates with D7 can qualify for:
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) programs at Technical Universities.
  • University Diploma-to-Degree transition streams.
  • Accredited private university access programs.
  • Upgrading through NOV/DEC with SkyNet Consult mentorship.
UniMatcher® provides the highest level of predictive matching based on official historical cutoff data and departmental prerequisites. While final admissions are awarded by university admissions boards, using UniMatcher® eliminates over 95% of blind application rejections by steering you toward courses where your aggregate realistically qualifies.
